Erie #7 (Fancy script logo)

This “Erie” skillet was made from 1905-1907 (known as fourth series “Erie”) by the Selden and Griswold company.  The company changed its name to Griswold Manufacturing Company shortly thereafter.  Griswold has always been known as one of the best producers of cast iron.  They operated from the 1880s through 1957 in Erie, Pennsylvania.  The pan is in good shape with a butter-smooth cooking surface.  It does wobble and spin so is best for a gas or electric stove.
